We will be having try-outs for our 2009 Basketball team. We are looking for Firefighters that are dedicated and enjoy playing basketball. Players must be willing to attend several practices a month, able to learn organized plays, playing in our local league, be able to spend the night and travel to the tournament in Florida, and have past organized basketball team experience. You must also attend and assist in at least one fund raiser. Our team is limited to 8 players to travel and play. Players are chosen by attendance, skill, past experience and dedication.

Basketball - Remaining practices are at the Leesburg Gym on Griffin Road in Leesburg (by LFD Station 2). Please email me if you plan on attending.

April 21st - 10AM - Leesburg
April 24th - 10AM - Leesburg

The Florida Fire Games tournaments are as follows:
5 on 5 Basketball - Open Division - April 27th 3PM - Vs West Palm Beach
3 on 3 Basketball - Open Division - May 5th & 6th - TBA

We will have teams in all these games, as well as soccer. See Dane Wilson for soccer details. The games this year are in Ft Myers, so plan on either getting up early, or being there the night before. I will have lodging accommodations details soon.
